I have always loved drawing and painting, from little on, taking many painting classes after school! My post high school education and art career began in Commercial Art. As we raised our family, I taught art to children out of my home. I now offer workshops to adults.
As an artist, I own the Copyright for all my paintings. as do all creators of intellectual property unless it is stated otherwise. Thank you!
In my watercolor paintings, the white is the white of the paper, the colors sometimes are several colors layered over each other, and unusual textures are created using techniques unique to this medium.

In OIl painting, dark colors are applied first building up to the light highlights.
With watercolor, painting light colors and building layers to create dark tones is often the goal. I do not use white or black paint. Instead the paper becomes the white and the layers create both the medium and dark values. I love the two processes!
I have been painting with oils and watercolors at Plein Air events.
